Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy Matthew 5:7 – Jesus feels joy as He extends mercy (compassion, grace, forbearance) to His family, friends, those He serves & everyone He knows– Being merciful, He feels joy as He sees people be merciful to one another
Righteousness
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6 – Jesus feels joy as He is curious & learns & lives divine timeless truths– He is filled with love & divine thinking, perspective, & attributes
Blessed are the meek
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth Matthew 5:5 – Jesus is happy & inherits the earth as He is gentle & meek toward others– He uplifts & befriends the poor in spirit, so He is rich with friends– He lacks vanity & ego, so His needs & wants are always met
Mourn
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted Matthew 5:4 – Jesus finds comfort as He mindfully mourns for His & others’ sorrows– He comforts you with mindfulness & being fully present, neither regretting the past nor fearing for the future
